New Google Maps API
«

The GeoCheckpoint map has been upgraded. It uses Google maps api version 3 now. This version comes with better support for mobile devices. Also a bug causing problems with the map in Internet Explorer 8 has been fixed.
There is still one known bug -- the map is not displayed properly if you search by GeoCheckpoint number using the box in the left column and then click on the map tab. If you visit the map page by clicking the "Search GeoCheckpoints" link everything seems to work ok.
Any feedback is welcome

The interactive map now works with my iPhone, but not quite ideally. It's still difficult to zoom in to a particular spot, but it's better than before.

Some new features were added:
1. Geocoding -- you can enter an address to the search field in the left column and the map will display this place.
2. Geolocation -- you do not need to scroll the map to view the nearest GeoCheckpoint anymore. Simply click the "Show my location" button to display GCPs in your neighborhood.
3. Fullscreen map -- click the button in the bottom to display fullscreen map.
